Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

CG: Woot! come on lockdown...... can't wait to see some baby pics.

To everyone else sorry I've been so off and on lately. It seems like I have a bazillion things going on all the time anymore. I try to get through most of the posts I miss, but some of it just starts blending all together after 3 or 4 pages. So who is hatching right now? Anyone?

SM: Your getting close to lockdown right? What are you hatching again?

My Ancona ducklings are growing so stinking fast..... I'll be hatching again on the 2nd of march, but they won't be ducks this time. I'm hatching out a large batch of Bantam Splash Cochin eggs a few Marans X Australorp eggs and a few Marans X Ameraucana eggs (Olive eggers

). I'm so excited it's only been 3 days since setting the eggs, but I candled some of the eggs and seen some veins in my Ameraucana eggs, that means I will get a few Olive eggers Woot! It's still to early for me to toss clear eggs yet, but looks like I won't have too many to toss. It's funny too because I have an 18 pack of cochin eggs in there that are like a month old.

Couldn't let them go to waste so I threw them in.

my muscovies can't make up their minds if they want to stay on the nest or not. But someone has added feathers to the straw and shavings.

I went to the Eureka Poultry Fair on Saturday and it was fun. I saw a lot of cool birds. My husband even wants to get some BEIs after seeing them in the show.

I can't do the easter hatch since I don't have an incubator (except if the ducks decide to go broody) and I will be going to Seattle for the Sakuracon Anime convention with my girlfriends

I was bidding on some cream legbars. I heart them and I want one.

Crazy lady, good on ya for having a 30yo gelding!!! In 2008, previcox was over twIce as much as equioxx. I am surprised to hear it's the other way around for you. I have been very lucky to have worked with some top vets over the years. I have learned much from them.

Chicken, the color selection was not great, but they did have a few types to choose from. I was wondering though... Wouldn't vet wrap work well too?
