A few minutes after my post I got a call from the post office. I got my 2 goslings and 14 packing peanuts, all healthy and doing good. I'll post pics in a little bit!

Thanks guys! Never thought I could get that excited to watch a duckling drink water in a standing position.

Marty, hope you get the ebay duck eggs!! FYI, keep an eye out for eggs on this site. I have personally had better luck with eggs from here than ebay (with the exception of a few very reputable ebay sellers that are also members on this site).

Drat, Julie. They will be there tomorrow, safe and sound!

Congrats, Celtic! Where's the pics? By the way, I have been tempted to get some french toulouse eggs too, but I am pretty sure by next week I will not know what to do with all the babies I will have....don't need to order any more eggs.

YaY for twist!

Julie can't wait to see those new babies.

We will get pictures to share when the third is fluffed out. I move them to the hatcher and walk away. Checking every 4-6 hours during the day on progress. O by evening chores they should be good to move out of the house.

If you ever change your mind on adding a new goose breed I can give you a good source for eggs.

I know what you mean! I still keep adding on Smaller incubators, instead of biting the bullet and getting plans to make a big one. I have given them an entire room, just for the purpose of incubating, hatching, and keeping them the first week or two inside (where I can watch them, and keep our nosy kitties away!)

I am on a serious hunt for a second cabinet bator and a cabinet hatcher. We have out grown this cabinet that we JUST added in December. Should be fun explaining this to hubby. LoL

Marty, we have a 14'x20 brooder house with running water, heat and a/c. One wall holds all of the feed barrels the rest holds brooders, with ceramic heat sources for each.

I had 5 incubators. 4 Brinsea and the cabinet. Now two Brinsea and the cabinet. Really need 1 more cabinet bator and 2 cabinet hatchers, but unless our son wins his scientific research grant that won't be happening. He is currently working with a couple of companies though to help him secure equipment for his project. It will last now (8th grade) right through his senior year. So we shall see.
