i have the oppasite problem i have 2 pekin drakes, 1 swedish drake, 1 swedish hen and 2 roosters and 8 hens and all are on strike

My duck houses have a low light on all night, it keeps them laying all winter. Less than 12 full good hours a day decreases production. Put up a light, and they'll be laying in 2-5 days I bet.

if you can handle the taste chew a couple raw garlic cloves and but a heat compress on your sinuses and it will knock it right out

Just here to give an update and then heading to bed...

I have one little duckie holding on for dear life. I have her in a little tupperwear container with a wet papertowel under her and then another wet papertowel laid over the yolk sac. the yolk sac is getting smaller and smaller. and she is peeping alot. my cat Leo has been laying on the bed right beside the incubator and he looks in on her when she peeps. I have also set mre eggs in the incubator with her. there are 22 pekin eggs and 8 chocolate runners that a friend gave me today. the incubator in the bathroom is stll taking careof the eggs in it. The Silkies are due on the 23rd and the Cayuga and SA are due March 1. If they make it they make it. If not I will get some babes from my friend and take care of them.

I don't know if my sinus infection is getting worse or better. I am on medicine for it. The part that sucks the most is my right eye. It is swollen almost stut. And it itches so bad.

Mine are on strike too and someone's going through a molt. I went out to put them to bed the other day and thought a duck exploded.

I was advised not to light them their first winter laying. Ducklady (my coworker) said it'll cause prolapse in younger layers.

my ducks refuse to go in at night they just sleep on the bank next to their shelter and the chickens just roost and poop all night

at least the garden will be happy in the spring!

If you don't get a better offer, I can sell you some babies. Just PM me, if you want. They get them the fist Friday in March, so hatch will be @ MR 29. I'm giving them 6 eggs ea K-6 (just a few days worth) so I'd expect 2 dozen,+ since I know the eggs rock, and I'm setting up and watching over the bators for them. I will do my own flock hatching, so I'm gonna sell the extas.

i am kinda lazy that way, i did all the details with the writing tip, a small frosting spat, and a pairing knife

i would love to hatch out a few, but i wouldn't say no to already hatched fuzz balls

Sorry she had trouble. I've never done it any other way, and I've had ducks for decades now. Wonder what california ducks do??

my one duck hen hasn't started laying yet born memorial day weekend last year, and the chickens started laying for about 2 weeks in late october and then stopped even with light
