set up my brooder tonight.
to test out the heat lamp and see if 250w is gona be too much .
and my grandpa is driving me crazy .
he is tellin me to go check the thermomoter every 5 minutes.
and keeps trying to get me to try his bulbs (he has 4 other heat bulbs none of which are under 8 years old hahaha )

on a happier note.

we were having out nightly talk about why momy only got 1 egg .
well really its our nightly egg talk.
but tonight was about why on eart i only got 1 egg when i have 4 girls.
you know what their reply was?
"quack, quack quack"
clearly the messege was lost in translation somewhere.

I keep giving my girls the "start laying again already" talk and they just give me the stinkeye and wak-wak-wakkkk!

I CAN'T wait for my kids to come home from school so I can hug them!!!

Watching breaking news..... Shooting at a (not my kids school) Bremerten ELEMENTARY ! School ~ One 3rd Grade girl brought a firearm to school & shot another 3rd Grade Girl in the stomache..... PRAYERS for both families ~ I would be a mess!

I heard about it on my lunch break. I work just north of Bremerton.

Praying for everyone involved! Imagine even being in the classroom and witnessing something like that.

Celtic (or anyone that wants to chime in).... my duckies are now 3 weeks old and certain ones sound distinctly like whoopie cushions. How high are the chances that they are female?? The buyer who wants 2 girls/1 boy called and wants to come get them tomorrow and I could use the room in my brooder pen.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out what a whoopie cushion duckling sounds like. My girls started talking in their grownup voices weeks before the boys did, if that helps. It's not 100% accurate, but it was for me.

I'd go ahead and give them 2 whoopie cushion ducks and a quiet one. Just tell them to listen closely the next few weeks to be sure.

That's what I'd do! Wish I could draw, but "whoopie cushion ducks" brings all kinds of funny images to mind!

I ordered hatching eggs finally. I'm still scared about the whole post office trashing my eggs thing. Oh and haven't told hubs yet.
