CG- I got mine thursday, I got 2 emails tuesday night and 3 emails wednesday saying they'd been shipped, so you might get your babies thursday. Can't wait to see them!

I candled everyone last night, and 14 of 14 are developing beautifully! Guess 2 weeks of refrigeration just slows them down a little bit, but they still develop great. All 14 eggs are from the same duck, so I know for sure the older eggs were at least 2 weeks + old since she had already been at QJ's a few days when I set the last 4.

Oh hey, I was going to ask you.. What is/was your drake? I'm going to set these 2 eggs she laid me and whatever else is out there.. today probably. I was just curious.

Oh... and goosies create a much bigger hole before commencing zipping. They will only zip 80%. You can see them zip the underside... and as soon as they emerge on same side as first pip, they will then spin back to top to push lid off.

I better stock up on coffee for this ride. And fully charge the computer battery.

Ok here's the deal. I'm going to mark them again right now.. And then I'm going to ask you how to lay them again later this week to make sure.

Because I will forget and second guess myself.

i ordered mine like the 4th, and they just now took the money out on like thursday or friday . (23/24)



and thats really interesting about the refrigerator (i hate that word for some reason, its not fun to spell) eggs.
i can't beleive they are developing.
which means everyone all these years have been wrong wrong wrong about it.

Cayuga/ buff mix I believe. I think all the babies should come out looking like anconas or magpies pretty much, and will be black, blue, or lilac magpied.

Julie: I used to take them out of the icebox and into the bator as a kid. Before I learned it was a no no.

I had great hatch rates. LOL.
