my thought exactly .
but on the upside.
we have 2 chicks laying in good spots. and i am not taking the eggs.
so the broody potential is growing =)

6 total grey SB Pom, 3 arrived safely. Waiting for the buff SB Pom eggs to ship in a few weeks.

So far we have:
10 American buff
4 American blue
3 grey SB Pom
7 sebastopol

In transit are more Sebastopol for a bloodline trade

My son is going to build a cabinet incubator/hatcher, looking forward to testing it out when it's ready.

Oh and live stock guard dogs are worth their weight in gold! Just had a stray dog test our fence line trying to get in and our male Pyrenees took him on.
