Oh and live stock guard dogs are worth their weight in gold! Just had a stray dog test our fence line trying to get in and our male Pyrenees took him on.

our dog does a very good job of protecting us and the house including everything around it including the ducks and chickens!

fyi- she is also the one i broke as a chicken killer (she killed a rooster last year, i think because it pecked me), but she has not touched any of my animals since, and there was no abuse of any kind involved, including the old wives tale about tying the dead chicken around there next for a few day

i would never do anything like that to my kids so i don't see any reason why people would think it is ok to do it to a family pet

i think one of my veining eggs is quittin on me .
i know 17 of them had veining when i candled earlier.
and i went to turn so i was going to take the 2 bad eggs out so i double checked so i was sure which ones.
and one of them you can see the red dot but no veining around it .
so we will c.

but in some of the others you can see the heart beating.

oh no!

Im going to my dads on saturday, I will tell him he wants the green one! He is useing them for breeding, so he will want the bigger one.

The green one is green because the white, and the brown mixed together makes it look weird lol. I will get a pic of her too. BRB, ducks and chickens are starving (not really!)

Bakin- That's great. Pekins are pretty, and they lay huge eggs.
DG- Cuties!
Celtic- Too bad about the eggs. Good dog, mine is pretty worthless. She is an escape artist, chases the ducks, doesn't listen, yaps constantly, and eats the chickens food. She's an aussie/border collie/lhasa mix. I was hoping she'd either be a smart/trainable dog like an aussie, or a good guard dog like a lhasa. Instead she's as hyper as a bc, not protective at all, and is stubborn/almost untrainable.

She's lucky she's cute.

It will probably end up quitting then. But hey... it's fertile and it happens.

id rather it quit now than a day before hatch tiime.
but hey im just happy i have such great fertility ,
and with 3 drakes i should!.
i know the boys are doing their jobs.

So bad. They had to teach the chickens that lived how to eat again. They couldn't lift their heads up.

14 in that batch but we have more that just pip there shells and a muscovy sitting on 19 eggs...lol we are going to have ducklings every where
