Bakin'- Tell me how you broke that dog. I have one that will lick them to death if she comes into contact with them. But otherwise she acts like she loves them. She sleeps by the duck pen. She about a year old. German Shep/Golden retriever cross. She's a really pretty dog. And she's smart. She knows she's not supposed to touch them.. but when I turn my back she will try.
our dog does a very good job of protecting us and the house including everything around it including the ducks and chickens!
fyi- she is also the one i broke as a chicken killer (she killed a rooster last year, i think because it pecked me), but she has not touched any of my animals since, and there was no abuse of any kind involved, including the old wives tale about tying the dead chicken around there next for a few dayi would never do anything like that to my kids so i don't see any reason why people would think it is ok to do it to a family pet
