Afternoon all, almost got all the pools dumped and refilled before the feed delivery arrived. Then my parents stopped by hoping we still had fresh chicken. Of course they had to play with the baby, so here I am back inside with 7 pools left to clean.

Mobed the call ducklings out into their big raised pen. Blocked off the pool and installed their heat lamp for them. Was hoping to finish pulling all hatchlings from the brooder house and clean the brooders but no luck.

QJ, keep us posted on the goslings. I will be on and off this afternoon. Have to make the after school run, pick up eggs at the PO (never let my driver bring the, to the house she is crazy) and back home to do dinner. Evening chores, bath bed and repeat. Oy

What quality are your BIE?

My BEI did not come from a Hatchery. I got my first trio from a man in Oregon that use them for show. here is a picture of my hen she not full color yet but you can see the green. they get more green in breeding season.

hey peeps, My dad stopped by for me to fix him lunch. So that killed about an hour.

No change here. I've got humidity at 40 now. I'm not touching them. SO wish I had a steth.

What is the difference between BEI and Cayuga. Sorry if that's a dumb question.

Chicks she is a lovely duck. Always like the sheen on black ducks. Don't own any though for fear our super sun would over heat them in the summer.

QJ, BEI are bantam sized like call ducks.
