Hey Celtic and Marty!

No updates on the Gooses Celtic. I feel like the clock is ticking. I'm actually doing good though emotionally. LOL. I'm going to change the pool and check back in.

I'm pretty sure they do. You know, you need some cute itty bitty ducks. Hubby wants cayugas, I think you should get some and just tell hubby they must be runts or something.

Ha! Let's see if buys the "sebbies are a big breed of duck" thing first. LOL.

Really though, I don't want anything else that can fly well. Mallards are a pain to clip and if they get the notion to take off... well, that can end badly.

So... I moved the new ancona eggs over from goose to duck bator and set my toulouse eggs. My duck bator is now FULL with 37 eggs until I do my day 7 (Saturday) tossing of non-developing eggs.

I will purchase wax at some point this morning and do what I can for this egg, as it is growing very nicely.

My waxed egg is still doing dandy - and I'm so glad! Its a rare chocolate turkey egg, and 4 of 7 have devoped. Not bad for ebay!

Oh and read a few pages back a question on feed. We use to feed nothing but Nutrena, then the distributor told our feed store he had to buy an entire semi truck at one time to get a delivery. So I don't get Nutrena any more.

We feed the following:

Geese:
Purina Omega 3 layer
Mazuri waterfowl
Oats
BOSS

Ducks (LF):
Purina Omega3
Mazuri
BOSS

Call Ducks:
Mazuri waterfowl

Mandarins and woods:
Mazuri waterfowl
Mixed whole grains (oats, wheat, some scratch)

Chickens:
omega 3
Boss
Scratch

Fruits and veggies and dark greens are given, but we also have grass year round. We toss feed fish in the pools about once a month. Great fun to watch.

I got Celtic's eggs!!!!!!!

The way she packaged it, USPS could have played soccer, rugby and lacrosse with her box and those eggs would have still made it safe to me. Thanks Celtic!

thanks Celtic. I give my chickens fruits and veggies too. They love Corn, and mashed potatoes and macaroni.

But this guy yesterday said NEVER give them treats. I'm still going to though. Just sayin'.

Celtic, when do you start offering boss and oats to geese? I use rolled oats for my adults... would crimped be better for younger?
