Just mucked out the STINCKULY ancona pen. Gave baby duckies a bath. Ate, ect. So now I am back!

QJ, that egg is probably from the odler hen, since you other one is YOUNGER then my WH, and they arent even laying (which really makes me mad!)
You think its fertile?

I think I'm going to get some turkey, guinea, quail, and chukar eggs from these people. I want more quail, and all their eggs are pretty cheap so might as well try hatching some other things too. I emailed and she said shipping was around $18 for 100-200 eggs, so why not get more, lol.

I need to wait a few weeks though, until I have more room in the incubator.

OH speaking of that ..... I lost a guinea !!! Yes it was bound to happen, now it stalks my neighbors & the tree in my yard out of my reach

I am about ready to get out my slingshot or my trusty Red Ryder !!! The ^&%%$%^% got out then tormented me and hubby frantically chasing it up the river & over the woods to grandmothers house we go....

Tried taking my face off with it eagle talons, then evaded my hubby through blackberry briars only to get hubby tangled in them only to trip him with spouting profanities from his mouth in the process ~ When we catch it IT WILL BE dinner little focker !!!

Hi everyone! I am new to the ducks section of BYC. Just ordered my first 12 duck eggs (Silver Appleyards) to come Monday.

Yay!!!



I've never hatched duck eggs before so I am very nervous; I've done a ton of chicken eggs though... I'm hoping it's similar.
