Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

It's a Golden Retriver/German Shepherd mix. I was told half and half. She's purty and all, but ugh! Drives me nuts because she waits till I turn my back. I don't know what to do about her, since I've already taught her that they're "mine".

I'm going to go re-read Pete's incubating/hatching guide.

I do that alot!

My Pointer is like that. I can see him watching me out of the corner of his eye, just waiting for me to turn my back so he can steal food off the kitchen counter. He absolutely knows that he is not supposed to, but doesn't care. I pretty much gave up on training him a long time ago. Luckily he isn't interested in the ducks or chickens.

Maybe. Some dogs are just difficult. The only thing that works on my Pointer is the e-collar and even that is only effective at the highest level. He literally has no reaction to levels 1-3, kind of hesitates at level 4, and level 5 stops the behavior. I don't like using it, though.

Well, I better go get ready for bed. I hope my eggs are OK. I printed Pete's guide to use as a reference. Good night all!

Morning all. Loved the egg pictures last night as y'all head into lockdown.

Marty I bet atleast one of those two hatches.

Iain, I put funky eggs propped up to hatch. Makes it easier to keep an eye on them.

Christine, looked like one was starting to try and internally pip!

We have two more Sebbies rolling into lockdown. One I doubtful on, but it's an early egg from a first year goose too. This weekend brings even more into lockdown again along with ducks and chickens too.

Good morning, hatching friends! Hope everyone's babies and eggs are doing great today.

Half of my anconas have internally pipped. I've got my humidity at 66% and will bring it up to 70+ later this morning, as they could start externally pipping later today, although last time they started internally pipping on day 24, but waited until day 26 for the first external pip. My cayuga eggs are still in the dry bator but looking better each time I check them. I am waiting until I know they have internally pipped before moving them to hatcher... which may take another couple of days.

It is also day 21 for my other set of duck eggs. Time to draw the air cell line on them, as they are rocking away and I expect to see the dramatic drawdown in aircell in the next couple of days. Tomorrow will be day 21 for my goose eggs and they too are starting to rock in the egg. This should be an interesting 10 days with 3 sets of hatches staggered out!!
