Hi Peeps.

My littlist DD managed to get out a baby button quail, and drop it, and seems to have injured it in a away to precent its standing up. He just falls over and sticks his legs out. Too bad, there were only 3 anyway. Poor little thing, its healthy otherwise, peeps, wants to run and eat. I've made it a little nest in a box, hoping a long rest upright may help it. I hope it dies or gets better soon, she feels very bad. SHe was naughty, I told her to leave them alone.

Oh no. My daughter did that once and felt so so bad. Poor thing.

I have a few with a couple spots, 2 that have what I would say is a mallard type of coloring and the others have some light grey. They are still to young to really tell. They have the baby fuz yet. I am new to calls. I got them from a poultry auction, I still can't find any one who knows anything about Johnson's Waterfowl (NPIP)?

I've heard that name before...but don't remember where from??

When I went to pay at the auction I asked if they had any information on the calls and they handed me a flyer on what Johnson's offered. They give a phone # and a so called web site but no answer on phone and no web site so now I'm really worried.

I'm on ebay asking seller of my last button eggs to sale me more, and ditto the large peking guy. I want a few more of those too. I think next time I incubate the extra large jumbo eggs, I'm going to treat them like goose eggs and the muscoveys, with the 30 minute spritz and cool down. I think a bit more moisture loss would have been helpful.

I'm not getting more buttons for DD, naughtly little (sad) thing, they are for me! I love the teeny quiet little peeps and coos of the buttons. I want to keep some in this big old birdcage I have, that is shaped like a house. I think they'd look sweet.

So did you actually order from them? I see them listed on several websites as a hatchery, but no website or FB page.
