I am gonna call that SA pat or shim until further notice.

Ducks shipped, geese not shipped, will try to get them out tomorrow.

Oh and picked up a box of duck eggs shipped in, more SA to add another bloodline to our flock. Sent 14, all in tact, stable air cells too.

All of the auto water nipples came in for the chickens and rabbits. The new auto bowls have shipped so this week will be the week to run PVC. No more worries on hot days of water running out.

One of my call ducks who I thought for sure I had heard quack has overnight developed a raspy voice and feather sticking straight up from "her" butt.

That means I for sure, no matter what I hatch from CG's eggs, have a pair of snowys. Would like a trio of them, and then a trio of whatever colors, so this means I'll have a better chance of getting what I want.

New EE chick is staying by the ducklings, but since they are outside if they don't let her cuddle up it may get too cold at night. I think I may try sticking her with the mommas and babies tonight, then see how things go in the morning. If nothing else, she'll be brought inside for now.

I was wondering something.....I have a Lyon TX6. Had another one a couple years ago that I used as a "dryer" for freshly hatched geese so they weren't moving around disrupting the other eggs. Having a fan, it worked great for that, and I of course could observe them easily due to the clear dome. Ok...question is this. If I wanted to use it as a hatcher for ducklings, could I remove the plastic fan from it? Anyone ever do this? Did it mess up the bator? I would imagine once I remove it, I won't be able to put it back but that's ok. It's got and odd looking "nut" on it, or I'd just jump in with it. I guess the bator would work even with the little fan removed? Thoughts???

ETA: I don't mean the fan system itself, just the little plastic blades

Yay! Baby geese are hatching! But theres alot of shrink wraping! from the three eggs, 1 died, and the other 2 are doing great. And get this!... All girls! Whats up with me haching all of 1 sex.... Geez!!
