psychotic episodes dont change the taste at all if it is old we grind the meat into burger it works as well as ground turkey in recipes

All kinds of drama since I got home from picking up my paycheck. Got my butt blasted by someone on facebook who was offended by my photo of the smoked duck that I shared here the other day.

Having trouble getting the humidity up on my hatcher. Suggestions? I'm locking down tomorrow, so today is troubleshooting day.

What?! Is she a vegetarian? Not that it matters.. just curious.

Checked the eggs under the chickens tonight
They are due sunday and are looking great. About half have dropped air cells so far. And 2-3 are pushing at the aircell

Dont get me wrong, we baby everything around here even what we're going to butcher right up to the moment we kill them. And I love the fact that some of the folks on here can keep just pets. I'm trying to get away from store bought food. Hubby is allergic to soooo much that I would rather know where everything I put on the table comes from. What I can't/dont have room for I would rather buy from a farmer close to me.

K. Pipped a hole in all 4. All 4 were dry but not shrink wrapped yet. All 4 are alive, but LOTS of veins still definitely not ready to come out yet. I put 'em back and jacked up the humidity some more.

Okay, so my friend's ducks in my bator are due Monday. Just candled and 3 have internally pipped. Really?

I was going to put them in "early" lockdown tmw! Now it's a mad dash to get everything ready.

Almost looks like an air bubble. Weird.

I'm expecting earlies this time too. Those eggs look too full to not need lockdown till Sunday. I'm locking those boogers down tomorrow.

I have two cayugas starting to shadow in back on end of day 22. I too am getting hatcher and room humidifier going tonight so they are ready.

GQ: Isn't that weird? I almost want to break open an Ancona to see. That was a mallard. It's darker and spotty. Never seen that before.

early lock down???? OH MY I have chickens to lock down starting sat... what the ... do I need to look for to see if I need to lock down early??
and yes I'm stressing chciken hatching!!

the grandbabies are expecting to see baby chickens hatch... and they'er comming 1/2 way across the country to do it ...........
