3x4 is all they need? I plan to do turnout at 7-8am and put up at 7-8pm... I was thinking a minimum of 4x8. Not sure about yard space size yet, though.
That's all the room I have. I'd go bigger if I could for sure. My next set up will be way different. But I have to sell my house first. lol.
Well, I need a silver apple drake for my two girls, so I am hoping to swap either cayuga and/or ancona for those?
You don't have a drake? We must fix this problem. The drakes are so pretty. Does Holderreads sell them as adults?

QJ and Iain your SA ducks are all from the same bloodlines. (incase you didn't know this)

CG sorry about the duckling.

Iain as far as breeding pens, the more space the happier they are. Ducks will trample any space they are gone into nothing but mud though. Using landscape edging and filling it with smooth rock to set the baby pools on will lessen the mud pit around the pool. Same for your geese, except they will over graze an area and need a new space.

Housing for geese is reccomended at 4' high and length depends on pairs or trios. You can get away with 2.5-3' high for ducks. Just remember ventalation is very important, and secure doors/windows to keep out predators.
