I made a chick chair for the Turkey. Similar to this: This turkey is probably too old for this to be fixed completely but it should help it build up some strength

That's quite the set up there! Can he move forward with it?

Okay, so this is what I've observed. He is shrink wrapped, but the tissue is very soft and still moist?? It is also brown, but when I pulled back a bit of the brown tissue there was a bit of bright red blood. Should I leave him be?

Also, I don't know if you would call it shrink wrapped because he is not literally stuck to the membrane it is just very tight around him. Lemme get a picture. LOL! Sorry, there goes my nerves and adrenaline.

DO NOT do anything if you see blood, just wait till Iain utah or someone else comes in to help.

oh and someone asked earlier. The SOP is $59.00 and can be bought here: http://www.amerpoultryassn.com/APA_ShoppingMall3.htm

Kevin, I think runners are funny looking, like how many can you fit in a car funny. So odd to be so tall and basically no wings.
That was me. Thanks.
Jaz, I agree on the nack for hatching a particular species. I wont ever be without waterfowl, specifically geese. They are easy to hatch, easy to raise, easy to feed. They are easier than even chickens for us, and we dont have high winter feed bills since we have pasture year round.

The Pheasants are pretty, but require permitting beyond what I want to deal with currently. We have enough paperwork with what we have. Good luck with those hatches, you will be building an aviary for them in no time. Will be curious if they have housing needs similar to peafowl special needs for cold weather.
Geese are hard!! Ducks are easy. lol
I thought bachelor flocks did well without ducks around? You mean all boy and all girl pens will only result on homosexual sex?
mmm hmmm... ie: Chuck the duck who like to "party".

It's not shrink wrapped if it's not white and stuck to the ducks body. If you see blood leave it be. Check on it again tonight. It's not ready to come out just yet.
