Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Of course! You and Jerry are both wonderful people. I hope he feels better soon!
Thanks... it comes and goes.... he'll be back when he can

Yeah, I'm worried about them all squished down in an itty bitty box, when our temps here have been high 90's and very humid.
I think Simon and Marcel are about 8 wks old now. Marceau is getting big, too. The ganders get bigger faster! Poor Maddie...she just can't get the hang of locking up for the night like the rest of the gang. I swear she is retarded....but so sweet, lol.

Aww, Dutch! You know the saying, ignorance is bliss? Well, Maddie must be one happy girl. I'd love to see new pics!!!

Tracking says the same thing now as it did yesterday afternoon, when they were in San Jose, CA. Typical of the PO to not keep tracking info up to date. I should get a call around 6:15 in the morning.
Simon is losing all his fuzziness for feathers. I hate that....love his fuzziness!
I got duck eggs from Arkansas recently. According to postal tracking, they are still there. Yet, they are happy in my incubator.
he says thank you. He's not been feeling well and we have the 10 year-old grandaughter this week.

He's been having trouble focusing so keeping up with everyone is too much right now.

Thank you very much for asking

Miss having the two of you online more. Tell Jerry to get better soon!

Morning all,

Sue tell Jerry I said hi and I hope he feeling better soon. Oh and don't over do it this week with the grand daughter he has goose houses to build after all! :p anytime you have questions on the Sebbies just yell, I am still learning too, but willing to point you in the right direction.

Dutch, hope they are A OK this morning. Will bite my tongue on that entire thing. Oh and I was copied on the same email as you and Iain too.

Iain, wow is all I can say. What a way to return home. How is the other gosling hubby made an appointment for? I built a sling like that before for another animal, they work very well and are super simple to make.

We had Lav, Choc and mystery guinea keets hatch. Some Khakis from a nice strong blood line to add newness to our bloodlines here. The final three Sebbies hatched and were listed for sale after making sure they are good and strong. Worked on a new flight pen some this past weekend, figured out which netting we will cover it in and will be ordering it in. Have to trench around it next to bury the side panels.

Hubby had lost use of his legs, but then regained some use with the help of crutches to support his weight. He had to return to active duty, but can't drive so my day is spent getting him up and around and then back home. The baby (not such a baby at 17 months now) started picking up his toys and putting them away all on his own last week after he watched daddy try and get around his things.

Celtic, wish there was a magic pill to make your hubby better. Sorry to hear he is having a long road to recovery. Hope his returning to work at least has a positive mental effect for him.

The other buff gander first presented to me as a strong 2 on the lameness scale on Sunday. He had improved with 48 hours rest to a 1 by the time he went to dvm yesterday. He received an anti-inflammatory injection into his joint and advised to continue rest for another 72 hours. He has improved somewhat since yesterday, and I'd rate him as a .5 on the lameness scale this morning. He should be perfectly fine in a day or two.

Update on Spirit: I am in a little bit of shock this morning. I was fully expecting to have to give her pain medications and put her in a sling to prevent splaying this morning. However, she is keeping legs under her, getting up and around without struggling, and does not appear to be in any distress. She is happily greeting me, eating and drinking really well too. I have a call out to the vet to report observations and see if ok to double indoor pen size and/or let her go outside for a while.

Hi all. Finally took vet wrap off sebbie angel wing, and it only helped some. Poor fellow. Otherwise, all is well, except I maybe have more critters than essentially required. Debating between putting into pairs and trios and just selling some extras, or just eating the extras. choices choices.

Celtic - We're thinking of you girl! Glad little man is stepping up.

I've got quial due to hatch tomarrow, and another 10 days for the 3 remaining Giant Peking eggs to maybe give Lucky a mate..... Here's hoping they hatch.
