Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

thanks for the welcome everyone, the d'uccles are mille fleur... too small to tell sexes yet. the pair of ringnecks were given to me from a co-worker. my call ducks are showing adult plummage. 1 is showing brown (as in a mallard hen). the other (i'm hoping will be a black with white) shows black adult plummage. also have 44 call duck eggs in the bator now (due Nov. 26th). will try to post pics as soon as i can.

My EE chicks are growing up into 2 very handsome boys I think.

I'm not giving up yet though, I thought their momma was a roo for a really long time. She had a big ole red comb at their age too.

My d'uccles are growing up too. And they've been free ranging the last month and still have those big foot feathers. I figured they'd have broken most off by now, bit it's just been the tips and a few on the middle toes. I'm going to hate penning these when I want to show them, they are so pretty walking around the yard. You have to get close to see them though, they blend in well in fall.

These guys are settling in nice too. Their combs are getting redder and standing back up, and they are getting a little more confident. They still hide in the pen, but have made it a few feet out the door once or twice now.

I do not know if you all remember I hatched Lemon Cuckoo Orpington in Feb 2012 I posted this picture
I though it was a Boy

same chick at 6 weeks old He ended up a girl about 2 weeks ago I got my first egg. so I had no boys out of what I hatched :( I was happy that all the girls got the cuckoo markings I did just go pick up a few roosters so I can now have fertile eggs from them. Here are some pictures
