Eyeheart, that's too bad about your birds. School can be sooo stressful, I don't blaim you for taking a break. GOOD LUCK!
I think with a cut magpie like that, it might be time to check out "duckie diapers" so she can be a pet, and not a raccoon meal ! Clever of her to befriend you all. Take a pic when you have time will ya?![]()

Thank you!![]()
EyeThat post is just too funny, I can see everyone chasing everyone in your house!
She is a pretty ducky![]()
Your Avatar is just precious. You did an amazing job on her Halloween costume!

Aww.Lol, No ducky diapers for this gal. We have a rule, no birds in the house. 800sq feet of home is not enough room! I can just see it now, the duck being chased by the cat, the dog chasing the cat, my daughter chasing the dog, and me chasing my daughter all through our itty bitty space.I plan to protect her from racoons to the best of my ability. She has thrived thus far and seems to do much better free ranging in our back yard than penned up at night. She is pretty flighty and I think that is the reason she has made it as long as she has. She is a quick little girl. She is a Silver Magpie that Jaz got from Auction.![]()
Don't mind the ghetto-fabulousness of my back yard.
She has been affectionately named, "Hair Pie".![]()
These are phone camera pics so pretty crappy.
Hair Pie on my back porch w/Gnorman photo-bombing in the background....
Hair Pie trying to get in the back door....
Remnants of Hair Pie....

I might be able to enable with those poms. I only have a gander here, but I know someone... the male is posturing, so anytime! They are somewhat aggressive though compared to africans and chinese.
Do emus stampede? They look like they would!Sweet GQ ! I guess they will fit in with the Emus!
