Maybe. I've considered that, but honestly, since dad died I stopped taking vitamins/suppliments, stopped excercising, had loads of stress getting all his affairs worked out and finalized, I think I just plump wore myself out and didn't take good care of me.

Bought suppliemnts and joined the gym again today.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Marty. Everyone is sick lately. My household was sick for 4 weeks straight over the holidays, 2 colds and that nasty flu. To top it off, Kendra woke up last night with another head cold. I give up.

That very well could be because for my comparison I have Runners which are super quiet and Anconas which are not much louder than the Runners. Thats all the duck breeds I have for comparison. I honestly don't mind the noise but I could see if you had close neighbors or a disgruntle husband how that would be an issue. We live out in the sticks ........ the ducks are the least noisiest thing compared to the donkeys. LOL those cute little donkeys we rescued

This just reminded me how much I've always wanted a donkey, so cute.

Yes, you guys helped me make up my mind and go with the goslings. I ordered one pair TSQ American Lavender and another of the Blue. I'm excited to get them!

I was just thinking about Dutch the other day. She is so sweet and also my fellow Surgical Tech, the one that gave me advice on my program options. The last thing I heard she got a new job and was super busy. I HOPE to see her on here soon.

Holderread's will sell goslings in pairs, not ducklings. They won't sell extra females.

Sorry you're not feeling well, Marty. Are you sure you don't have a reoccurring infection somewhere? One year I was constantly sick. As soon as I was off antibiotics I got sick again. It was my tonsils. After they were out, I quit getting sick. Another year it was constant sinus infections. I finally got rid of those by using a Neal Med squeeze bottle.

It's pretty surprising how sick an infection in a localized area can make you feel.

Well, maybe. I wouldn't be surprised about a sinus infection. I seem to get those all the time. I picked up some salin nose drops today. When I get in a bad way, sometimes that helps. Neal Med squeeze bottle- is that kind of like a nettie pot? A sinus wash thing.

Dutch sent me a pm last fall to show support of my goose rescue, as she too had gotten goslings from the lady in Cali last spring, and said she was super busy with her new job. That is the last I have heard from her.

Sorry I havn't been on much, for some reason at the end of my antibiotics, I have fallen ill yet again. I don't know what is up with my poor body. I went out and bought a lot of vitamins and suppliments (b complex, potassium, d, iron, a multi, etc) incase I'm short on something. Got to bolster that immunity I guess.

Love hatching Goslings! My fave as of now, but we will see what a baby Emu looks like

I went to auction this weekend.... Ummmm I mean I CALLED auction, and asked if there were any Emu eggs & they said their were 4 !!! I asked if they would bid on them for me....

So I now am the proud owner of 4 more EMU eggs....

So does this make me a addict..... I do not even need to show up to auction now, just a phone call away! (and they are keeping them safe for me til I can pick them up on Tues!)

Quackers project eggs from Sparky Crows ~ Konzas, I hatched some yesterday & today. ~ Other project are Auberigines ~ meaning a Konza hen with a Ranaky/Silkie Rooster in the attempt to get Fibromelanistic

The Neal Med bottle is kind of like a netti pot, but instead of letting gravity drain the solution through your nose, air pressure pushes it through so it's supposed to work better. I've never used a netti pot because I hate getting water up my nose, but I was so miserable I gave the squeeze bottle a try and it worked great. Probably TMI, but I was amazed at what came out of my nose. No wonder I was sick. I made my husband come look, much to his disgust. I still use it after I've been working horses to get all the dust out of my nose.

I might just have the goslings shipped, since they are OK with that. We'll see. I would drive down if you could actually see the farm, but you can't because of bio security. Makes sense.

Pancho and Righty doesn't have the same ring to it.

RG, I think you are crazy. How many eggs do you have now? How fast do emus grow anyway? Do you still have all the geese and ducks and other birds?
