maybe they will find some place safe and hunker down.

The neighbors were they pooped are over 3 acres away, so you would be amazed how far they have gone, could they be trying to go back to where I got them? Probably about 50 miles away

I've never heard of geese doing this but you never know, maybe start from there tomorrow morning and make large circle, if they weren't at your home long they may not know how to get back. If it's dark they are most likely laying down some where. I'd try to get out at dawn if possible though, thats when they are going to be hungry and active. Good luck.

Oh bakin, I'm so sorry!! Do you have any nice neighbors with poultry? They may gravitate towards other domestic waterfowl, if there are any around.

We have a few closeish neighbors with chickens (about 4 miles) I can check there, and thank you I am beginning to think I should have just waited and raised a pair from babies or tried to hatch some this is discouraging :(

Baking,
I hope you find the trio soon!  How perfectly awful for you.  :hugs

Thank you Marty!

Thank you for your advice!

Thanks for the compliments! So I have two votes for leaving solo egg in bator and one vote to separate my grey fatties. I've had solo goslings and ducklings before and it is no fun!! But I guess I can always throw the gosling into one of my special needs pens and hope for the best. I'm leaning towards separating the fatties too, but I'm being super lazy....
I agree on both counts. I've got a solo egg a week ahead of the ones I set today. Just going to go with it.
Here is a pic of the feed that I raise all my birds on ~ from hatchlings to adults. I do not add anything, only dust it with DE on occasion

I get my feed in bulk from a local lady who runs a feed mill out of her farm.

That's beautiful feed! I really need to drag hubby's pickemup truck down when I visit next! I wonder if she would hook me up if I brought a bunch of half ton totes to her?
Ok so you guys are never going to guess what happened to me today! I think I am doomed!

So I get up at the crack of dawn with my kids, deal with the chicks and bator eggs, then head out the pick up my trio, we get there and I get stuck un the driveway to the barn and spend the next to hours digging myself out (have already loaded up the trio, and the people have already headed out) so when I get back in the car it smells like a barn and my kids are super cranky and I still need to get groceries. Make a lightning trip in the grocery. Get home unload them into their house with water, food, and some greens and my hubby seems pretty ok with them being geese. So I head inside to start on dinner. About an hour later (after some important phone calls) I still haven't gotten dinner started and realize I forgot milk and only have 1 can of corn (making corn chowder) and hubby comes in and says the geese pushed through a small hole in the fence and ran up into the woods behind the coop and he couldn't find them. Still can't find them and like "amazing" neighbors the people behind us (about 3 acres up) called the cops on us because our geese walked across their driveway and pooped uggggg!
Because they pooped?

Insane. I'm sending positive vibes that they come back soon!

I can't believe I forgot to share my egg news of the day: the boss located the goosies secret laying place! Not sure how old the eggs are, but there are now 10 goose eggs (and two chicken) in bator #2.

If all goes well and those girls keep laying in the same spot, a friend of mine south of here is going to get some fun eggies when I make my next road trip!
