Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Now I'm worried that these 2 groups of ducks will never get along. Maybe when I get a drake things will change.

My set dates will all depend on when the egg laying begins! I'm going to give the adults time to go broody before I start collecting eggs. I think I have one that will.. we'll see.

Oh good. So there's hope then. The funny thing is... they haven't touched Beaker at all. And Beaker is just about as big as they are. I guess today they decided to go after her. They are in time out now. No free ranging for them.. Too bad so sad.

OH I was.. believe me. Totally freaking. Especially when I looked out the door and saw Beaker sitting there with a bloody head. Total freak moment.
 
i have has so many chickens with their necks ripped off just like that!!
i thought they were just in shock and didnt know how bad it really was

oh sorry i should say how they get this way... rouge dogs and neighbors dogs still in prosses of working out things with them their dogs have kill soooo many of my bird
