Me too. don't suppose they have hooked up with a farm around there with livestock? but I guess you've checked all of that out.Do you have rivers, lakes or large ponds close by?I would think a body of water would be the first place water fowl would look for.
We live right by a big river that runs through 2 other states, already searched a bunch of farms around me and put out the word, not much else I can do but hope they found a nice safe place
Quote: Baking, what kind were they? I missed a few days, and never caught what they were.
Is there someone there to load it with a forklift if necessary? I'm thinking about biting the bullet and switching. She sells all quantities, and she has a money tin at her feed mill so if she is not there you can weigh your own feed & put cash in the tin. Gotta luv ole fashion

You really think the feed is good quality? I was just happy everyone likes it ~ She will sell to anyone, anyday but Sunday. Any amount ~ all the same price

My white African gander is hurt. He appears to have a puncture on body just to the inside of right leg, perhaps from a downed tree branch or something like that. It doesn't look life threatening, but he has bled a lot. I have a call out to my vet to get his advice for best course of treatment and am trying to rouse my husband to get his assistance in catching him.![]()
Is she in Chehalis? Do you bring your own container and fill it up? Do you need to call first or you just show up? Do you have her number or address?
So is it a standard mix that she always has on hand? Can you order a special mix?
Whew! I think that's all the questions I have.![]()
I hope he's OK!
I wonder if Bakin found her geese...
My gander may hate me by the time I am finished with him, but he should be just fine. It has stopped bleeding and he is walking/acting normal. I talked to my vet, who told me to clean with diluted betadine solution and give him penicillin shots 2x daily for 7 days. Otherwise, he is ok to stay with group on pasture. My friend is coming over in a little bit to show me how to give shot. This should be fun.![]()
I've been thinking of you and your geese all day.Ok guys I have been out since the crap of dawn looking for those fools and I still have not found them, I hope where ever they went they are safe and happy but obviously they are not meant to be with me! Thank you for all you thoughts
I have an update to my white gander........ After calling my vet and having my experienced avian friend come to my house, we rounded up my gander for exam/treatment. We checked every inch of his body under a magnifying glass and found nothing, all while his middle toe slow dripped blood (which we had first assumed we caused when catching him). I guess he snagged his toenail then slept with his foot curled under his body this morning. Perhaps I should have caught him right away and examined him closely before calling the cavalry.![]()
