Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

They just hatched on Saturday. It is actually one if the little bigger ones. I have 2 that are just tiny but running around eating and drinking.

Have you tried using a little dropper to try and get the vitamins and water in its mouth? Impossible task I know. How old is it? If it's more than a few days old try and tempt it with some ground up meal worms or de shelled peas?
I wish I could be more help. I have a little duckling who is so tiny in comparison with the others. Im hoping it will be ok as its eating and drinking and running around and squealing! Think I'm going to weigh it tomorrow and every few days so I can tell its definitely growing.

One more pip= five now! Not a lot of progress from anyone, the first pip is definitely extended but I'm not sure if it will hatch tonight, unless it really gets to work all at once. :)

Can someone help me, am having trouble hatching my duck eggs. I went ahead broke one egg open since I notice no movement the egg was sticky inside does this mean I need more or less humidify?

I have goslings due the day after tha, like 40 of them.

I have 6 due the 6th. I thought that was a lot. 35 duck eggs locked down... now we wait.

What day were they on when you did the eggtopsy? I'm not the best at troubleshooting, but I'll try to offer advice.

Hmm that's interesting. Have you tried letting them outside for a few mins if it's warm enough. Wondered if fresh air may perk it up - long shot I know. I'm not sure there's much else you can do, apart from the dropped with vitamin water or take it to a vet? I guess it had been eating and drinking up till now or it wouldn't have lasted this long?

Im not too sure but I think you'd need more humidity? If in doubt Google it! Hmm ok I just did - not very helpful. Sometimes they do hatch out sticky which is natural, I guess it's all the stuff they've been living in. The one you cracked open was it stuck to the shell at all? If so then they hadn't been turned enough. What is your humidity at?

Six very nice pips.. STILL no yellow fuzzies!! LOL!! two more to pip- SURELY I'll get to see at least a couple hatch. If it all happens while I'm at work, hubby won't give them nearly the welcome they deserve after all this torture they're giving me!! :D

Thank you it looks like it is doing better today. It was drinking and eating last night and this am. Still isn't as active as the others though.

Just been reading some of the other posts on this thread & feel like its gonna be a looooong week!!!
This is the first time we've hatched duck eggs.
They aren't due to hatch for another 3 days but after hearing a faint chirp this morning and seeing a small crack in another egg I'm now sat impatiently at the side of the incubator

Daisy duck has a bad limp at the moment so she's been brought indoors for some rest - so at least I've some company to watch the eggs with me!!
WHHHHooooooooo HHHooooooooo

My bator went into lockdown on Sunday morning and the babies aren't due to hatch until Friday, although one had a small chip in it - didn't think much would happen this week!!
Last eggs I hatched were Silkie chickens and they went 5 days overdue!!
So imagine my surprise when I came in from college last night and there was a baby duck bopping around!
Seems fit & healthy, I woke up to watch the little thing sleep at 3am (Is it only me who finds this slightly hypnotic)
So I've had a morning bathing my limping Daisy Duck, fed the new baby who's now having a nap, finally sat down to get my own dinner and out pops another one!!!
6 more to go - I hope the others hatch just as easily as these first two - I'm now obsessively watching the bator
