Thank you it looks like it is doing better today. It was drinking and eating last night and this am. Still isn't as active as the others though.
Yay, glad to hear it's a bit better. Fingers crossed for you

Six very nice pips.. STILL no yellow fuzzies!! LOL!! two more to pip- SURELY I'll get to see at least a couple hatch. If it all happens while I'm at work, hubby won't give them nearly the welcome they deserve after all this torture they're giving me!!![]()
Congrats on your fuzzy butts! Fingers crossed for the other 6!!WHHHHooooooooo HHHooooooooo![]()
My bator went into lockdown on Sunday morning and the babies aren't due to hatch until Friday, although one had a small chip in it - didn't think much would happen this week!!
Last eggs I hatched were Silkie chickens and they went 5 days overdue!!
So imagine my surprise when I came in from college last night and there was a baby duck bopping around!
Seems fit & healthy, I woke up to watch the little thing sleep at 3am (Is it only me who finds this slightly hypnotic)
So I've had a morning bathing my limping Daisy Duck, fed the new baby who's now having a nap, finally sat down to get my own dinner and out pops another one!!!
6 more to go - I hope the others hatch just as easily as these first two - I'm now obsessively watching the bator![]()
My hubby calls me at work every time one hatches. It gets old when there's 35 in lockdown. We had 110 chicken eggs locked down last week, it was a wonder I got anything done.Six very nice pips.. x2!Yayyyyyyyyyyy, congratulations! Hope your dh gave them a big cheer!
Sweet babies!
I don't dry hatch here, so hopefully someone else can pop in and give you advice. Remember that will the fan out, you're going to have hot spots and cold spots. Make sure to move the eggs around the bator a bit.So today is day 19 for my first ever hatch! I'm so excited and can't wait for them to get here. The fan went in my bator last night and I was so worried this would mess with the eggs but when I candled tonight I saw movement in all the eggs. I have a question though. How exactly do you go into lockdown. I've heard people say to turn the temp down and others say leave it alone. And what about humidity? What should that be on? I'm doing a dry hatch so to speak not sure if I followed it right or not but my humidity has been about 20 to 30% since day one. How high should it be for lock down. And how do I know if I need to help or not? I'm doing the split shift that day so I'll be home for a Lil bit during the day.
