OK, duck egg number one is starting to internally pip. And Beaker is doing great today.. Actually eating normally. Gotta clean this house now!!

Really glad that Beaker is improving. I think she'll be totally fine. She's well over the danger done. Just gotta watch for infection, but it's a pretty open wound so you can easily keep applying antiseptic stuff.

Yes, we've got 5 chickens: 2 Australian Langshans (black), 2 Australorps (also black) and one Wyandotte (Gold laced but just a pet quality one). Since we've had the ducks the chickens (or chooks as we call them here) have developed a major pea obsession

The chooks live separately to the ducks but they all roam around the backyard together when we're home and they all go crazy when the peas come out.

Hopefully today is my last day of work till the 16th January (might need to come in tomorrow or Wednesday but i hope not). Almost 4 weeks off - yay for lots of duck (and chook) watching!!
