im so excited!

QJ, no cash prize, just the trophy. You certainly did dress for the occasion, I have to say.

Hope everyone's hatchlings are going ok....sounds like there are a few naughty ones out there who don't want to come out...

DG, that's exciting about the goose egg! What breed of goose?

I'm having a hard time getting Beaker's bandage off his head. It's stuck to the wound. I've soaked him in the bathtub and cut off the extra as close as I could. I also soaped it down. But I can say that her little (big) boo boo is healing very nicely. She may just have a little gauze on her head from now on.

It could be the new ducky fashion statement.

I'd expect that the gauze will come off eventually. It's kind of functioning like a scab at the moment. I don't think there's a need to worry about it too much. Glad to hear that your girl is going strong.

Critterrun, I got your card yesterday - Thankyou!!!

Me thinks you need to get the rest off. Or it may grow into her skin. She will be awfully embarassed walking around with gauze hanging out of the back of her head.
If it won't come off you might have to have someone hold her and jerk it off real fast, it will take the top scab but will probably heal over pretty fast.

DG- That's pretty exciting. I just want a few ducklings, so maybe just half a dozen eggs. Hopefully I'll be able to hatch 2. Or better yet, since it'll be spring I should have quite a few broodies .(my silkie without the chick is going broody AGAIN, guess she's jealous. If she sticks it out though, hopefully I'll have a few ducklings to give her in about 24 days) Plus I'm sure my cochin mixes might want to set by spring. They are much better at hatching then me, so I should get a good hatch rate if the post office is nice.
