it was over everything
all baby mamals have the same colostrum requirements .
they get wat they need in the first 6ish hrs
after that it doesnt do much good
Doesn't production slow down nearing the 24 hour mark? I think that's true in cows at least. Dairy's sell their bobby's on the 3rd day because they're able to sell the milk when the Colostrum is through.
And I think after 18 hours or so the intestines can't absorb the colostrum anyway. There is something to do with the colostrum being absorbed and the intestines closing, or something like that. Does that make sense to you CG?
My book, and my brainlol
yea your on the right track there lol.
but dairys actually dont leave the babies on their moms
they take them the minute they are born .
and bottle them.
they are sold when they have a decent sized group of bull calves.
the heifers are kept.
(grandpa is a milk hauler lol)
and yea there is a small window for when babies can absorb the antibodies
That would explain the trouble your having. I don't know many 13 yr old's that can teach themselves math. You can PM me the problems that stump you and I'll try to walk you through it.
OMG! You rock quacker!!!!!! I have this one that has had me stumped for 2 days now. my mom refuses to help me.... Plus having ADD (i dont have it bad) it makes it even harder....
Makes perfect senceWe have a bunch of dairies around here. I'm always looking for a good dairy heifer but they are hard to find. Plenty of bulls at the auction though!
ETA: A dairy heifer for my dad, not for my yard. He has Herfords but wants a Holstein to "lead" the cows. If that makes sense.
