Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I've fed Mazuri for several years. I've experimented with other feeds and have always gone back to Mazuri. The waterfowl just look better on it. I think possibly because of the fish protein in it.

Recently, I'm trying out a locally milled feed called Scratch & Peck that is certified non-GMO. I'm trying to get away from eating and feeding GMOs. Most of the corn and soy in the US is now GM. We'll see how the ducks and geese look on it. I'm hoping it works out.
Do you have a list of the ingredients in the Mazuri feed? Currently, I'm feeding a premix feed from a local mill. It's about 50% corn and 50% Soybean meal...which I am not too happy with. I am mixing it with whole oats, wheat, barely, a small amount of BOSS, Cayenne pepper and sometimes ACV. I'm still trying out this mill, they will mix a custom feed for me but I have to buy 2,000 lbs of it. I think that comes out to 40-80 bags or something, I cannot remember.

I can get kelp meal, fish meal, and things like that. They are just $50.00 a bag so trying to figure out what would be best for the waterfowl before I buy a whole bunch. I'm open to suggestions. What do you feed?

Oh, and forgot to say I've been feeding everyone some leafy alfalfa hay, to help w/ their greens, since we have 0 grass. II'll be ordering some sprouting trays and then I'm going to try my hand at growing fodder.

You know, that's a great name for a drake!

Yep, time and the two prescriptions from the MD have me feeling almost alive these days. This time 3 days ago I was falling asleep in my chair. Now, I'm talking about Peter. Oh well, everyone likes a nice Peter, right?
