Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Pretty much, but we're still doing little things. We converted a lovely but crack topped old dresser on legs w/a mirror into the bathroom sink. Love the effect, but trimming all the drawer backs to accomodate the pipes was a drag. Looks cool now though. Also, getting the supplies stockpiled for this years projects. We find if the stuff is ready when we are, we get more done. Winters a fine time to get materials (excpet pains/primers/sealors which have to be stored (eye roll) in a heated room. In this giant old place, we don't heat all the rooms. Maybe half. That means the paints and chemicals are all stored in my bathroom. Good things its 14 x 14 feet. Used to be a bedroom, but is more valuable as a bathroom.

Eyeheart, my doggies are good, all considering, thanks. I think we are on the right track finally and are taking it one day at a time.

Beautiful! And after seeing Napoleon and Josephine in person, I have to say I even think they are pretty. They look more like geese and less like sharpeis in person.

Cara loved the turkeys btw, and was telling everyone the whole day that the turkeys talked to her.
I've decided to sell my japanese bantams, and have someone coming to get them tomorrow. Just keeping my serama and d'uccles, less roosters around. And less chickens period, I still like my waterfowl better. I'd rather have another goose or 2 and a few more ducks instead of as many chickens as I have now. They are more muddy and poopy and stinky than the chickens, but so much more fun.

Rheas are big birds. Maybe those are what you're thinking of? My ducklings are hatching today! The breeder's keeping me updated. Can't wait till they get here!
Rheas! That's the other devil bird!

Can't wait to hear news of your new duckies!
