Guess What?!?!?! I was checking my duck eggs last night, and saw that one had pipped! Then I woke up this morning to find that another had pipped, and at least five are wiggling like crazy!! This is my first hatch, and I'm so nervous and excited!

Congrats. That was me last Saturday. I wasn't expecting the hatch until Monday, went out to let the birds out to find a zipping egg had rolled out of the nest.

Congrats. That was me last Saturday. I wasn't expecting the hatch until Monday, went out to let the birds out to find a zipping egg had rolled out of the nest.

I wasn't expecting them to hatch till tomorrow at least. But I'm glad it's happening now so my hubby can be home for it. He goes back to work on Monday, and he's been working out of town, so not home during the week. He's super excited that he gets to see the hatch.

Mine (due today) haven't pipped yet. I'm trying not to get impatient.

I think my test eggs are duds. Quitters. Not moving. Pfft.

Well, there were only two and I didn't really want a week with a solo, so I guess it's for the best. Going to give them until tomorrow morning to do something and call them dead.

I lock down again next Thursday with WH and Cayuga eggs.

It's all good. Like I said, it's better to have both not hatch than to have one hatch and have to hear it cry for a week until it has a friend hatch.
