HI PEEPS ! Been really busy here but almost done hatching .... Only a few eggs left. I need to shut my Master bator down for cleaning and maintenance. I have 2 Rhea Eggs in LD but I think they quit ......

Hi everyone! It's been kind of quiet in here lately. I suddenly have two broody ducks, one who is very serious and the other who isn't so much and is pretty much just causing trouble for the real broody by trying to share the nest, so I'm breaking her. I don't think it'll be too hard - all I had to do was thwart her getting back to the nest one time yesterday and she was content to forage instead.

Oh, and a few pictures just for fun! One of my pretty girls taking a nap:

And here's Lacie goose, cuddling with her two best friends, chicks that she was raised with this spring:

They always go to her when she settles down somewhere and she loves the company. I've seen them all preening each other.

Pyxis I am thinking this guy is just being a jerk he is also talking about putting a stick up the ducks butt to relieve constipation look at his other posts he is just being a jerk in another thread he is talking about killing his ducks by tieing bricks to them and landing on them during leap frog

Sheesh, I have an order for 30 ducks and not enough eggs. Seen any duck eggs at auction lately?

We've all got the summertime creeping crud over here. I need to take my meds and call it a night. I know the house didn't go up 10 degrees in temp in the last 5 minutes, so the fever is back. Blargh.

I do have a Khaki Campbell and a Cayuga duckling new today. Hopefully the last batch of chickens on Saturday... but then again, I have a feed run looming...

Super busy here too! I haven't done much hatching lately, but my chickens have been cranking out chicks still. Been trying to get some projects done around here. Made a few covered boxes to grow some green stuff in the chicken yard, put a new floor in the coop, taking care of the garden and birds and hubby and kids and whatever else, lol.
Here's one of the boxes I made, covered in netting. Going to plant orchard grass and millet in them I think.

Miss everyone! Getting too hot to be outside here, so hopefully I'll manage to get on here more often.

I need to get feed to sometime by next weekend. I would like to get some more laying ducks from auction. Getting some Soay Sheep Monday!
