I had an egg going bad but I kinda didn't worry too much. It was way more purple than yours by the time I took it out. I still had four of the remaining 5 eggs hatch.

On the other hand, mine has the discolorization (sp) and is now peeping at me and pecking like crazy! I feel good about this one. The other is definitely gone.

I think I am going to turn the dogs out to potty, check the baby eggs, give them a nice pep talk, bring dogs back in. And then TRY to get a little sleep. I have to go feed horse and goats in the morning and if it gets nasty out it is going to be a white knuckle drive in the morning. Oh no I forgot to clean the cat litter pans. Oh well. I am on a winter break from school because of my surgery coming up so I will clean them tomorrow.
