It's still going - I candled it this morning. One of the ducks that was sitting on it has given up (not much fun sharing just one egg I guess!!) but the other one (who is actually the mother) is still sitting. She comes out for a snack and a swim but goes back onto the nest. The egg has a couple of hairline cracks in it so hopefully it stays in one piece and also doesn't go bad. The membrane is intact. Fingers crossed!

Yay! So excited! What color will it be? I think you said blue but not sure. lets hope it hatches!
Hey everybody! I've been super busy with the church Christmas Pageant practice so that's why I've been off and on in quick spurts.
I took my 4 ducklings to their new home today. This guy ended up living literally right next to my church. Small world. This whole time I thought I was talking to an older man, this guy walks out and he is a gorgeous 30 something, who loves waterfowl.. Good thing I'm a faithful woman!! LOL!! I'm just kidding. Actually I'm not kidding. This guy was a hottie.
Anyway, they went to such a good home. I'm so glad.
I have to go back and read up on everybody's progress now.. I've missed some posts.
QJ, so glad to hear that you found a good home for them. Amd with a duck-loving hottie. Nice work!
Definitely hoping for a girl. Yeah, bummer that you can only show blues.... Stoopid, really. However I have been told by a judge that you could put a black and silver pair into the 'breeding pairs' section since they'd produce the Standard colour (i.e. blue) and so make sense as a breeding pair. I have a black drake and a silver duck so I might even try this at some stage.
