So how many ducks is she going to let you have total? Are you still getting the silkie ducks? Sounds like you have a nice mom.

10 large ones, and four or five bantams

Just been having a chuckle catching up on the thread.

DG, glad the 'on/off' is now off and it's all on at your Mom's.

QJ, looks like you'd best ignore my advice about not worrying about the dressing. I've heard of people using parrafin to soak a bandage to get it off too. Similar idea to the Vaseline. Poor you - I'd hate to be having to remove it myself. Be strong and give it a whirl.

Never heard of parafin being used. My vet had me run warm water on my horse's leg when the bandage was stuck on it. it didn't work so she came up, used petroleum jelly and rubbed it in real good and pulled it off. Charged me $105 to do it. why didn't she just tell me how to do that over the phone? GEEZ.

BTW: I have Beaker in the bathtub again soaking her head. And I have that soap on there. I give it another try here after dinner. Finally got smart though and wrapped her in a towel so she'd hold still!

is it on the top of her head? if so you need to somehow hold her head so the warm water runs on her head without drowning her. Try working the bandage back and forth too. you may have to pull some of the scab off from around it in order to get it off. I had my own bandage stuck to the wound on the back of my leg and had to hold a warm wet washcloth to it and pull some scab off and then i just started pulling it from one end to the next and finally got it off. OUCH it hurt though.
