I'm here too! Good morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evelle- I hope your puppy is okay. That would suck so bad. And my kids are bouncing off the walls too. Fighting over everything, Ah! My husband works a lot too so I can stay home. So I totally know what you mean!! Of course he's off now with this transition in jobs, and from now on he will be working less and making more. I'm not mad about that!

Little ducky has made a big crack in the shell. So I'll keep you posted about that.

Good Morning. I am trying to dehydrate persimmons today so I will be off and on. I am also going to make some jam if my back is up to it. I have been on vacation all week which has been great

Good morning all! I'm a little late, hubby's birthday was yesterday so the girls stayed the night at his mom's and we went out last night and played pool. I got to sleep in this morning, no baby to wake me up.

My ancona was laying everyday until the day the hawk came. Now she's either stopped or started laying in a different spot. I need to rake up their bedding in the coop today anyway, hopefully I'll find her new spot.
Wulfandwyn, what kind of persimmons do you have? We have a couple of persimmon trees in our backyard, but they are the wild kind and don't taste all that great. Even the ducks and chickens pretty much ignore them.

My parents actually have the tree and its a fuyu persimmon (the squat type that looks like a little pumpkin). they live in the San Francisco Bay Area and brought up a bunch of persimmons for Christmas. The fuyu are great to eat like an apple. If you have the acorn shaped you just have to wait until they are super ripe and squishy to eat. If it is the native variety you can make some kind of steamed pudding with it.

Yum, persimmon jam! They are a beautiful little tree too.

Flying home this afternoon - can't wait to see my ducks.

Hoping for a good result for your little duckie, QJ!!

When I sold my young ducks to people last week they both said "oh yes, we'll keep in touch, we'll let you know how they're going" and they haven't

I emailed one of them to ask how things were and I've had no reply

With the other person i sent through a heap of baby photos last week and I've had no reply to that either. People don't care about the effort you put into raising them and the attachment you formed with them
