How sweet. Must be something in the water, mine are being weird today too. I was giving everyone their peas earlier and my ancona started getting pushy for her treats. My roo didn't like how his ladies were being treated, so he very politely stepped in between the duck and the pullets. The drake got MAD, started chasing the rooster around trying to bite his tail. He came back from that and pouted, snapping at any poor chicken who got too close. A few minutes ago, I heard the duck quacking for more peas, and looked out the door. She's sitting there, the drakes running around the yard with his head down.
Looks like he was trying to fly, but he forgot to open his wings. He's weird.
I got a HUGE egg from one of my pullets today. Bigger than my duck eggs. Almost as big as the goose eggs in the 'bator. I wish I had room to hatch it. Either it's a double yolker or it'd be one humongous chick. Twins would be fun to try to hatch.
Maybe it is something in the water. They are perfectly fine now. It's ridiculous.
Do you know who layed that egg? Take a pic!
