Good morning! Today is day 25 and my duckies are being noisy in the bator. They have not externally pipped yet, but they say usually 12-24 hours after internal pip? If so, they will make external pip sometime this afternoon. I'm not concerned, as all 12 are making progress. I have named my one ancona ducky Honeydew.

All 12 ancona eggs are growing. One has a loose aircell, so I have it upright now. I think it will be ok. I have 6 goose eggs developing, but one has a bad detached aircell, and I don't think it will make it. All well, 5 goosies growing after one week isn't too bad, eh??

Thanks Celtic. I hear lots of horror stories about LG still air bators, but it sure is doing my eggs right. I have read about goose eggs and shipping problems, so I am pretty excited to have 5 going. When do you start misting/cooling them? Do you mist then cool, or cool then mist?

I try and check my eggs once a week, turn them over inspect, candle and mist and slide the tray back in on it's rack. We run the cabinet with auto turner, but I like to look them all over each week too.

We started with an LG, had 1 good hatch then the thing went wonky.
