QJ: Wait 24 hours before turning. If it is any consolation, only 1 of 5 of my eggs from celtic had a totally detached air cell. 1 has a wonky cell and 3 are good. All are fertile.

SM: When I marked my goose eggs on the 7th day, they were barely below the top... pretty much exactly like Pete's guide's pics. You may want to post a question in goose forum to see if he answers with your pictures. I posted a question there about my detached air cell and he answered. Or... wait to ask celtic.

Chicken, can't wait to see pics of your babies when they hatch!!

We lost power here for almost 5 hours. It just came back on. Ducklings are fine, but I am a little worried about my eggs. I plan to leave them alone tonight and candle tomorrow. Fingers crossed all is ok.

OH BTW: I got the "OK" to order the Sebbies. ;)

I may have told him they were considered a "Pet goose" which is kinda true, and they were very quiet, (which I have no idea if they are) and that they are a little bigger than a duck. (might be a small exageration.)

Of course, he still doesn't know there are 2 eggs in the bator. I'm going to tell him they are REALLY big duck eggs. LOL. Like he ever looks in the bator.. Puh-leese.

I read something that said wait 7 days until turning. I'm going to wait 3 or 4 and go from there.

I'm sure they'll be fine, but a power outage is scary! That's one of my biggest fears!
