I'm so excited....... Now watch it wait till tomorrow morning to actually hatch. LOL that's how it goes. So the total is 19 Ancona duck eggs in lockdown. I started with 22 on this batch and had a few quit on me early. These are not shipped eggs they came from my flock so I've got my

for a great hatch. Temps are steady at 99-100 as it has been the entire time incubating and I've got my humidity up and holding steady at 73-75% durring incubation it was around 60%. My last hatch was 3 eggs that I threw in to test for fertility and all 3 hatched so I'm hoping things go like last hatch since I've tried to do everything the same. Oh, I'm so freaking excited and can't stop going to the incubator to look through the window. Somebody please

me.

Jazmine, that's a LOT of eggs!!

Chicken.... I am excited for you! I hear ya about them taking forever. My first egg took 31 hours to hatch after it pipped. I can't wait to see pics!!!!!

By the way... our duckies went bonkers for teeny pieces of romaine lettuce. We threw them into bathtub when they went swimming last night. Not a piece was left when they were done. It was so cute to watch.

QUESTION: how long do I need keep watering down their starter food to a mush texture?

Jaz- Yum Yum! Did you love it? My mom would just roll it in flour and fry it up old school style.

Utah: That's a great number of duckies ya got there!

Chicken: Keep updating us! I'm living vicariously through you right now. I have to wait 10ish more days for mine. :(

70- Some people are nutty when it comes to their dogs. Sorry if that's any of you people here. LOL. I'm talking about the people that sleep with them and go everywhere with them, and plan their days around them like they are children. They are not children people. They are dogs. I'm talking about people that do this to the extreme. I love my doggies, but... I don't worship them. Cesar Milan would be very disappointed in that woman. She's giving the dog attention after doing something wrong, instead of removing the dog. She's probably a flake anyway. She should have been giving that attention to your ducks.

My dog is perfect. I love her. She does what I want, when I want and I swear she knows English. She's better trained than my kids. LOL. Now the pup... we're working on her. Dog training takes time I guess.

I only do the mush for the first 3 or 4 days. That's just me. Sometimes I'll put a little of both in there if they're at different stages. Like for Caboose maybe.

Now we have rain and snow at the same time. It sucks. 4 " on the ground and more coming. With rain it is going to be fun going to the store. Oh well at least we can get through the snow with the truck..4 wheel drive. Checked eggs today. Babies are still swimming around inside their eggs. What was the rule on air cells? If air cell is too large, increase humidity. If too small, decrease humidity. I can't remember.
