Never had geese. That being said, the chickens and ducks can be together for about the first week and then all hell breaks loose and your chicks will be soaking wet. That's my experience.I am suppose to go on lockdown for my 3 chicken eggs this Wednesday but what about turning the other 24 that are in the incubator? and can baby chickens and baby ducks be kept together for a while as well as the baby geese?

QJ, I think we are from all over. At least Cocoa, Celtic, Evelle, Jazmine, and myself are not in midwest.

Awesome news about the duck egg, CG! And a lovely green one too!!!
I have another interesting update on the psycho dog women. This morning I was walking my dog and had just left my house and crossed the street. This was at about 6.55am. I saw the woman with her dog walk by my house along the footpath (sidewalk) and then cross the nature strip (area of grass between road and your property boundary) in front of my house and stand with the dog right next to the hedge that surrounds my property, immediately on the other side of the hedge from the duck pens. I was watching this from behind a bush. She stood there while the dog strained and pulled hard on the lead, towards the ducks. This went on for 10 - 15 seconds or so. She then moved a few metres along the hedge and let the dog have another go at straining and pulling towards the duck pen for about the same time period. She was on the very edge of my property boundary and about 2 yards from my duck pens. My ducks would have been able to see all this through the hedge and would have been frightened. I was gobsmacked at the gall. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me or I would have taken a photo. Un-freaking-believable.
