Its crazy to that they don't develop at all. I can see where it looks like some started because there are blood lines in the egg but no heart or anything. At least I have a bunch of my own ducks eggs in there and they are developing great. My goose eggs seem to be doing well too.

Sorry that you don't have any to hatch. If my duck keeps laying the way she is, I can send you some of her eggs, They would be Buff and Silver Appleyard, She has 8 under her right now

I feel you too SM. In fact, I was just complaining about that like.. maybe 2 days ago. CG was there to get the brunt of that one.


Crazy- I found that address and emailed them. I just ordered eggs.. So they need to hurry up. LOL!!
Oh, and I LOVE all 4 of the top pic and then the ones in the bottom pic.. I love those too.

SM: Didn't you get your Apples from DP Rather? Same guy as me. I have 4 out of 8 left. One was a quitter, and had a blood line. Nothing in 2. He had really good stock.
So basically you have 2 out of 8 on the Apples?

And then the Cayugas.. where did you get those. BYC Auction?

thanks for the offer.
but my girls started laying yesterday .
checked that 1 and it was fertile.
got another 1 today.
so i think im going to save them.
and if they stay laying i will pop them in the bator.
im hoping they keep laying

weve had warm weather for the last month but this week it is slightly chilly.
and friday we are suppose to get snow.
so hopefully once she has started she doesnt stop
=)

no sence in only having 2 eggs in there.
heck even if i only get an egg for the next couple days ill put them in.
how hard is a staggered hatch?
would that be bad? i dont want to waste these eggs. and i wont get one of the girls 2 go broody (one of the chickens)
guess never hurts to try.

I had three Swedish eggs under a hen. Two had pipped last night at the wrong end and both dead this morning, still in the shell. One more pipped at wrong end but still alive. Not a top result so far but that's life. Will set some in the bator later in the week.
