I have a broody chicken!!!!!!!!!! And I put 2 ancona eggs under her! Yay! I had to take her chicken eggs from her! She was so sad! and it took awhile to convince her she wanted the duck eggs lol.

heres my idea! I let her hatch these two duck eggs (or atleased try) then next thursday I give her 3 or 4 chicken eggs to hatch. Then all the babies hatch at the same time, then take the baby duck/s from her. But since im giving her the chicken eggs she will have chicks and wont be sad? Is this a bad idea?:/iim not gonna trust a RIR chicken with any baby anconas! Cant take the chance that the chickens hurt them. Plus my mom wont let me seperate her from the flock.

I was just given notice that I have to go on a business trip at the end of the month... and I had to run and check my hatching calendar for conflicts before agreeing to the dates!

Well, this is getting too weird. My geese are back again, under the brooder window, honking away. I really don't like them crossing the street. I asked hubby to make a sandwich board sign for cars... don't know what else to do.

Hey DUCKGIRL right now I am hatching chicken eggs. The breeds include BLRW, FBCM, BO, BA, SS, EE, and bantam cochin. But I am expecting a package today of even more eggs. I have an empty bator that I want to fill. Lol!

So i got an assortment of eggs from spydertoys. There will be turkey, duck, and chicken eggs, and MAYBE some goose. I am ready to hatch away. After this I will start hatching out my girls eggs as long as they keep laying like they are.

I know I am joining in a little late but I have eggs that are going into lockdown saturday. They are bantam cochin, black copper marans, BLRW, BO, SS, BA, EE and some banyard mix that my friend wanted me to hatch from her flock. i am so ready for them to hatch. I want some chickies!

I also have some more eggs arriving today to fill up my other bators. I am not sure what all they are cause I got a mixture of eggs from spydertoys. But I have a feeling that there will be a wonderful gift in it for me. Some duck, turkey and chicken eggs, and she wont tell me but maybe some goose eggs.

I will let you all know when I get them. It should be around noon today.

I think your geese want to be parents. Didn't you say they nested under the porch at one point?
