Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

No change in Twist today. She still throws her head back too far when she drinks, but it looks like she is trying to fix it and will make adjustments between 1st gulp and the next. Often she will just lay down next to water to drink as that is easier for her. Hubby and I went to put a leg band on her last night... but we realized that we now have no problems picking her out... as she is so LOUD and DEMANDING when she sees you... it has become obvious who she is by personality. She is also the most playful of the group... and loved getting a new toy last night. Her appetite is great, her poop looks perfect.... I wish I knew what went wrong with her neck.

My eggs are all great on day 20!! By this time next week, I will be hatching new babies!

Can't wait for babies. Sounds like this thread is going to start getting very busy with hatchlings soon.

Anyone else feed duckweed to ducklings? I grow it in my fishtanks and started giving it to the Ancona ducklings yesterday as a green treat. They LOVE it!

Ya'll aren't going to believe this. I just candled my 4 Appleyards. 2 have almost internally pipped. They are due Friday.

The 2 that haven't Internally Pipped I was thinking to myself.. "Man, those air cells look fabulous, but a little lower than they should be... interesting." Which means.. they will begin soon too.

I just plugged in my LG to use as a hatcher. So.. I want to give it all day to hold a temp before I transfer them.

Oh lordy. Don't talk to me about Duckweed. LOL!! Me and my grandpa spent one year trying to get that crap off his pond. Comical now, but I developed a love hate relationship for duckweed.
