Hi everyone! Hiya Kevin, fancy meeting you here! DH has computer, but Im checking in while hes gone a minute.

QUESTION:

Many of you candle your eggs a lot, and I ususally only check the week before due date. So, I candled 5 day old turkey eggs, and now I don't know what to think. 5 of 7 appear to have a large dark mass at the top, and 2 lokt thinned out, no blob.

Which is good?? I never do it this early, but I just couldnlt wait!

Now Im frustraited! Please advise!

Marty: You're not supposed to candle all the time. Key word "supposed". 70 tells me to keep my hands out of the box all the time. That being said, I have to open the bator to hand turn, and add water. So I might have the opportunity to candle a couple while doing that.

11 are good out of 14 Muscovy eggs!

ALL 24 Ancona eggs look good

My ASSorted eggs I had to toss 9 out of 12 SO only 3 left for you mathmatically challenged

I have 11 good Cochin out of 14

Been selling crazy
Sold 2 sussex, 8 Turkeys, 4 RIR, 1 Barne, 3 Chinese Geese, 17 RIR, 1 Maran

So I am down to just a few sussex left !

hatched 9 out of 11 of my marans and 1 out of 18 Lav Orps ~ there is no reason I shouldn't have gotten a better hatch ~ POSTAL HANDLING I assume...

Her egg is the one that BLEW up in ChicksOhMy's face ! She said she would ever candle Rev egg EVER again

I did some creepin'.. and apparently she moved, and it was a big ordeal. She doesn't have all her birds moved with her yet, so some are still here. (or the original home.)

Well, can you tell me if my eggs are screwed? its an ebay, and I'm a little worried. I wish now I'd done it more. Everyone here kind of got me thinking different about it.
