Duck Girl- Feed it to them. They will have no problem whatsoever. In fact, i'd leave in the shells. (I feel my dogs a natural dogfood diet, and eggs and shells are part of it) but I'd do it soon, since the eggs have warmed, becasue the warmth has been a catalist for changes withen, and they will go bad faster if they've been over 85 degrees.

Sorry your customer backed out.

What a bummer for you. I'd definately get them to make a down payment on their custom hatch next time.

I give my dog raw eggs, but I crush the shells and mix it in with their food. Our little stupid dog is an egg eater, and will try to sneak in the coop and eat eggs. I don't know if leaving them in the shells would teach them to eat eggs or not, but I wouldn't take a chance. It's a pain making sure she stays away from the coop when the girls are out free ranging.

Hey Julie. So, if you want earlier moonflowers, you have to start them inside in extra large peat pots, and set the whole thing out in mid-may (mine would have been growning since, well, about now....) I put mine into a larger pot with dirt when the get 12" long, then they transplant with less shock. Ditto morning glory. the chickens probobly love the big seeds, just don't give them too many of the heavenly blue seeds!!!!

Id think true wild rose would be an ok choice, but you know how much chickens love to scrach and play in the soft dirt at the base of big plants. You may just have to put up an itty bitty bit of fence to shelter their roots, so the chickens don't tear them out.

Ok, I'm really off to bed this time.
