Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Everybody wants to be different but then they get P#ssed when someone says, "You're different". Ugh!!!

this is my soap box.

Totally understand that. I just like having the freedom to say what I think rather than to have to dance around difficult topics. And also the freedom to be just a little bit quirky a lot of the time.

Normal is an ideal, therefore unattainable.

CG: That air cell sounds completely normal. Like a dip down on one side. I bet that one is a Pekin. And it probably won't hatch for another 3 days. Which would put it closer to the due date.

Exactly! And I have lost a lot of friends and some family because I don't tolerate bad behavior. So sometimes I must say, "That's bad behavior". And then they get mad. And I say, "bye bye."

Well, just got here and it's time to call it a night. Got tied up at work for an hour and a half later than normal. It's a very small business, so I usually get caught up chatting with the boss in the dining room.

You can lose a couple hours in there if you're not careful. I love my bosses, they're like a second family.

in two hours I will be Locking down my First Duck eggs of the YEAR!!!

Duck Girl- Feed it to them. They will have no problem whatsoever. In fact, i'd leave in the shells. (I feel my dogs a natural dogfood diet, and eggs and shells are part of it) but I'd do it soon, since the eggs have warmed, becasue the warmth has been a catalist for changes withen, and they will go bad faster if they've been over 85 degrees.

Sorry your customer backed out.

What a bummer for you. I'd definately get them to make a down payment on their custom hatch next time.
Really gross TRUE story - - I had pheasant eggs in bator. They are too dark to candle, so I brought the ones that didn't hatch after like 23 days up to the house in bucket to dispose of. Left bucket on sidewalk while I went to get garbage bag to put them in and got distracted on something else for a short time. When I came back a little later, all the eggs were gone.

I looked around, and there's my dog looking rather sheepish. Needless to say, I left her outside for quite awhile and kept a close watch on her, but as far as I could tell, she was fine.
