QJ- I remember seeing a cl ad for some by me awhile ago. If you want, if you can find the ad and if they still have eggs I'll pick them up for you and meet you at tsc with them.
I'm only on day 3 with the duck eggs, and can see a very faint heart in all 10 of them. I pulled 5 of them out of the refrigerator too, and they had been in there a few days. I didn't just want to hatch a couple, and figured I might as well try. Maybe I should pull a few more and try just for science's sake. They've been in there around 2 weeks.

I can hatch mostly quail, but unless I get a girl or two out of my older babies and they start laying by then I probably can't get 20. If I have a silkie roo by then I can hatch silkies if they are laying, and silkie mutts if not I guess. If I don't have a roo I'll try to find some silkie eggs.

Julie, you don't need to set 24. That's only for the "Best Hatch Contest", which goes to the person who gets the highest hatch rate out of at least 24 eggs. But I don't think there is a minimum. You could probably set 1 and still enroll. There are a lot of other contests though. I haven't filled out the form either, because I'm not sure how many yet, either. (Keep looking at ebay - - NOnononononono....maybe????)

CUTENESS ALERT!!!

Lavender Orp is back in the corner, and I put the black orp in there too because.. why not.


The container was some left over applesauce compliments of the baby.. they LOVED it. And the black orp is laying his head on a strawberry. They didn't like that as much.

I did have them separated but after I gave the duckies a bath I threw them in here so I could wash out their tub. Next thing I know they're all asleep.. so I let sleeping ducks lie.. so to speak.

It's working!! On my end anyway.

ETA: But it's VERY slow right now.
