Guess who just ordered 5 SQ welsh harlequin eggs? :D

Celtic, my mom said im gonna have to wait a bit for those SA eggs. Shes only letting me get the WH eggs because im working on that breed already.

Plus bobby will need friends, and I love WH babies!

QJ, the lady im getting them from is the one with the add on ebay. Shes a BYCer. Im so excited for new eggs! :D im hopeing for 1 or 2 babies, I hate for bobby to be lonely...

Will get pics when they all dry & stuff!
I also got 1 project mystery egg... It is all white, where all my others are the brown eggs. She told me she was going to toss in a project BUT she didn't tell me what it is? I will post pics of the egg & the chick that finally pops out!

So 6 fully hatched & drying now, 4 zipping, & one singing!

Hi guys! Ducky #4 has been moved to the brooder and is settling in nicely. The two we helped hatch are still in the bator, but I think they may both be able to go to brooder by end of the night, as the ducky I thought was a goner is getting better and better!

Glad to hear it. I have left my chicks in my Bator/hatcher area for over 24 hours sometimes. I think it really helps if you have one that needs a little extra help being they have the humidity, and constant temp to get a leg up before the brooder

Thanks, Jaz! It makes sense to me to leave them there as long as possible. But when they start exploring with steady legs and getting too curious about the heating element above, it's time to move them to the brooder.

Time to switch gears to the goosies. The one furthest along may be getting close to externally pipping. I am starting to slowly raise humidity now to at least 50%.

set up my brooder tonight.
to test out the heat lamp and see if 250w is gona be too much .
and my grandpa is driving me crazy .
he is tellin me to go check the thermomoter every 5 minutes.
and keeps trying to get me to try his bulbs (he has 4 other heat bulbs none of which are under 8 years old hahaha )

on a happier note.

we were having out nightly talk about why momy only got 1 egg .
well really its our nightly egg talk.
but tonight was about why on eart i only got 1 egg when i have 4 girls.
you know what their reply was?
"quack, quack quack"
clearly the messege was lost in translation somewhere.
